Simple Sanity for Working Parents
3 simple steps to creating sanity in an insane parenting world.
The 24/7 juggle between work and family can turn life into a blur. With coffee in one hand, and kids in the other, your day ends in a blink of an eye with what seems like a hundred things still undone. You’re caught between deadlines and diapers and starting to lose your sanity.
Simple disagreements easily escalate because you know you’re rushing through and really not totally there with your kids, but the thought of slowing down and spending real time increases the anxiety that you won’t be able to get enough done at work.
You’re committed to being a great parent; that is not the issue.
You’ve read some do-it -yourself books, and maybe even taken workshop or two. You can imagine, in your head, what it would be like to have more time to do the things you want to do with the kids, but you can’t seem make it work in real life. You can’t seem to find the balance that you want. It seems like if you spend more time with your children, you will short change your work and vice versa.
Is it possible to have your cake and eat it too? Can you really have a great family life and enjoy fulfilling work that pays you well?
Yes! You can enjoy a connected family and have rewarding work in the world.
What every working parent needs is 3 simple steps:
Step 1 – Clarity: With thousands of “to do” items on your checklist, you can learn to set priorities so that you eliminate the things that are really not important to you and your goals.
Step 2 – Communication: Learning effective communication skills can help you defuse escalating disagreements and eliminate endless hours of go-nowhere discussions.
Step 3 – Community building: No parent can do it all alone, especially if you are someone who wants to live a great life. You can learn how to build a supportive and inspired community that is not only ready to be a part of your team, but also committed to your success in all areas of your life.
When the synergy of all three steps comes together, life just becomes easier. Why? Because you begin to apply new strategies to old challenges and you have the support and community needed to bring more connection to your family unit.
