About J

Who I am?

I am Jason Stein.  I am a parent of two beautiful children and I bring years of interpersonal and communication training, including in-depth training in NVC (Non-Violent Communication).  I blend eclectic skills of helping busy parents to find time, communicate compassionately, and create emotionally intelligent families.

If that sounds boring and too intense, don’t worry because I love to bring humor and fun into learning new skill sets.

I combine a BS in Psychology, a graduate degree in Oriental Medicine, a Professional Coach Certification, and five years as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine in the State of New Mexico.  I’ve worked with children and adolescents in residential and advanced academic settings. Currently, I’m an adjunct faculty at Marylhurst University and the Chair of Professional Development for the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.

So I have degrees and training, but so what?  My real training didn’t start until I had my own children Sierra Claire and Jack Ayden.  I’ve spent the last five years really drilling down into the frustrating patterns of communication that seem to challenge my connection to my children.  I haven’t found the Holy Grail yet, just new ways that simply work better to connect.

Now, I’m ready to share these with you.

Please feel free to contact me.
